Our School
About our School
Anasazi Elementary is on a mission to provide our students with the best education on the planet, and that starts with an International Baccalaureate Primary Years education.
We are the 8th IB World School in Arizona at the elementary level and our staff is providing a world-class education that is recognized internationally for its superior standards, guiding principles, practices, and intellectual rigor. The intellectual rigor of the International Baccalaureate program gives our students a competitive advantage in our increasingly global economy. It also builds on our school’s mission to be a child-focused community that fosters a rigorous and compassionate educational experience, honoring the diverse learner and empowering all students to be globally competitive and future-ready.
IB students take ownership of their learning and develop skills to work effectively with others, becoming thinkers, communicators, inquirers, and creative problem-solvers in the world around them. Our students are on a journey to become active, caring, lifelong learners, helping to create a better and more peaceful world for us to live.
Anasazi's Mission Statement

About our Campus
Anasazi Elementary is a public neighborhood school nestled in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains. Anasazi is a Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade school in the Scottsdale Unified School District.
The facility is situated on fifteen picturesque acres abutting the south trailhead of the McDowell Mountain Park Preserve overlooking the Valley. The physical site is composed of seven interconnected multi-tiered buildings each opening to a grassy courtyard in the center of the campus. The school, designed for efficiency and safety, has numerous display case windows throughout the interior of the campus with covered walkways.
